Taping of school building project forum airs this week on cable channel

A taping of the forum held on Sept. 17 will be broadcast from Oct. 1-22.

A taping of the Elementary & Middle School Building Project community forum that was held on Sept. 17 at Mansfield Middle School will be aired on Charter Cable 13 (Mansfield’s public access channel provided by Charter) from Oct. 1 through Oct. 22.

It will be aired at 7 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, as well as at noon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Want to be an extra at a Storrs Center photo shoot?

Paving Storrs Road – Route 195 in Mansfield

Milling and paving of Storrs Road (Route 195) – part of improvements being made to this main roadway associated with the Storrs Center development – is expected to begin on Friday, May 17, 2013.

As scheduled, the paving should be complete by Tuesday, May 21. Poor weather may delay these efforts.

Malloy proclaims National Teacher Day in CT

As a social studies teacher at Berlin High School, David Bosso has been able to enrich his teaching about world history and cultures with trips to Ghana, China, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Egypt.  On his blog, Global Wanderings, Bosso writes, "I have a keen desire to not only educate my students about the world around them, but also to learn as much as possible to better inform my own knowledge base."

National Teacher Day is part of Teacher Appreciation Week, which is celebrated May 6-10, 2013.
