Connecticut shoppers have one week to buy items of clothing and footwear costing under $300 without paying Connecticut sales tax.
This year, the tax-free week begins Sunday, Aug. 16 and the last day is Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009.

“An Act Concerning the Disabled Veterans’ Property Tax Exemption,” allows veterans to submit documents verifying their disability just once to local assessors.
